Iron Ore is a Ore that occures naturally in caves.

Iron Ore can be destroyed with some hits and can be mined like all Ores best with spam-clicking. It occurs in large patches.

Those patches are rarer than Coal Ore patches, but not as rare as Gold Ore patches.

Currently you can destroy Iron Ore without any tool or requirement.

Crafting
