Finite inventory, crafting
Mining is now possible.
- Finite inventory – Have maximum of 100 blocks in inventory. All blocks placed must be picked first. Blocks can’t be created or destroyed – just moved or crafted. This means big piles of stone near mines. To unload blocks from inventory into a pile, press U.
- Crafting table – Player starts with just 6 crafting table blocks (looks blue for now). There are recipes for all materials. It’s not needed to remember recipes, or use special crafting window – just place blocks on top of crafting table and press C key when pointing at the table. A list of things possible to make with supplied ingredients will show up on screen.

Very cool! Can i suggest making a mining cart (idea from my own roguelike mining sim…) that you could build, fill with blocks and push down the rails. Also rail stops that stop the cart.

First there was Dig Dug (a platform game) in 1982.
Then there came Infiniminer in 2009(which supposedly inspired Minecraft).
Then came the others.
I play open source games. Open Source means anyone can use it or modify it. Granted Minecraft probably isn’t open source (otherwise why would so many be upset by another program being so similar?).
Ideas are ideas. No one sued for DaVinci when the helicopter or hang glider was developed after his death.
However, obviously, these are just my opinions. Your mileage may vary.

I am getting sick of this. If any of you look at Infiniminer, or have ever played it, then you will realize that this is so much different. Minecraft and Infiniminer, sure, they were both block based, but they also were completely different and allow for differrent things. Seriously, people… They can make the game, and it can be good. But this is still a large minecraft ripoff. The differences are so minor (errrr… miner
), that unless this game really steps it up and makes something off of the ideas of the actual developers more than variations on minecraft, then this game is worth it.

Actually, now that I played it, this game is quite good. It has a revised minecart system, different crafting table design, different player animation/default player model AND anyone can get a skin!

I don’t have time to try this game, but it looks a bit too similar to Minecraft. Regardless of whether Minecraft was inspired by other games, it’s a problem for “Manic Digger” that it may not offer anything different from Minecraft (other than being free).
For everyone who keeps responding with Minecraft copied/cloned Infiniminer, is it even possible to play Infiniminer anymore? From what I read the concept of Infiniminer was to collect minerals as a team for points, which differs from the concept of Minecraft a bit. Just because people started using Infiniminer to build things instead of what the game designers intended doesn’t make it an identical game to Minecraft.
I wonder if anyone has noticed that this troll is the same person posting under hundreds of different names. I bet its notch getting pissed because someone else is making a free client that has all the features of his shitty java program that is buggy and shitty but he’s ripping people off by charging for it.
