Hi all, is there anyway to increase the height building limit on singleplayer world. And if so can oyu increase it on a singleplayer world who has already builds in it?

yes the normaly height limit is 128.
It is in the server config, so you can change it by changing the variable z (<MapsizeZ></MapsizeZ)

Be careful when increasing the height. The hight value must be divisible by 32. Furthermore, it affects the system load much. Better not set it higher then 256...

I have one more question if i update my manic digger to the current version how will it affect my current singleplayer world?

Fist of all, before you update, make a backup of the file default.mddbs in ManicDiggerUserData directory (it is your savegame).

Update to which version?
I guess you had the 2011-02-12 version before.

Changes when you switch version to:
  • 2011-05-04s: water will flow, wood becomes chest
  • 2012-02-02 (latest nightly build): new map generator, new textures
    You can import your map there, but if you explore new parts of the map, the new generator is being used and generates ugly transitions to the old sections.
I suggest just to try it out. Just in case, you have still your backup.
