 Post subject: Texture sizes?

I tried installing one of the texture packs (John Smith) for Minecraft (renaming files as needed) to see if I can use the improved textures, but anyplace that had his texture instead of the default didn't display (It was like walking on air).

I think his textures were 32x32, but I see lots of comments in the forum about using 32x32 textures just fine. Is there a special image format that is needed?

Hi torial,

actually 32x32 is the only supported resolution in Manic Digger.
Did you ensure they have the correct format? Should be .png

You can automatically convert MC textured into MD format using this nice tool liquidhot created some time ago: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=754&start=20
