Ok, let's sort out ONE thing first.
Minecraft came out first. May, 2009.


All I ask is that you stop saying Manic Digger came out first.
Stop with the fake review videos saying Manic Digger came out first.
Stop with the biased review videos.

Manic Digger is another game of the SAME genre. Fine.
Manic Digger deserves to have a chance to succeed. Of course.



But please stop trying to leech off of Minecraft's success. If you manage to legitimately gain players, fine.

Oh, if I see one more video that says Minecraft copied Manic Digger, I will make two videos reviewing Manic Digger in the most obvious way.

I'm not trying to seem above my station, but perhaps moderators would like to 'lock' any such blatant troll posts, maybe allow 1 main troll-post to remain in the hope of productive input??

The constant daily posting of these threads is only hindering the forums.

How convoluted are you? He's making a valid point: Minecraft DID come befor Manic Digger, and there ARE people claiming MD came out first, and there ARE biased review videos being released. How exactly is this a troll? He asked you guys kindly to stop saying that Manic Digger came first. Did you even read the post?

I cannot speak for all, but I know of none on this board that support Manic Digger that do laim it is the 'original' or came first, such things are done (i'm guessing) by people that cannot read / do not read / are troll's themselves.

The release date for Manic Digger is unmissable (its posted pretty much anywhere you can download the game) and as to the biased reviews....

well the MC community does little better, I have just posted an angry response to a flood of 1/10 reviews for Manic Digger, done undoubtedly by MC fans that have never played Manic Digger.

It's a two way street, I do all I can to advocate a mutual respect for one another, but its fair to say we, the MD fans have a much smaller following, and as such are essentially fighting a loosing battle.

In the long run all I am trying to do is spread the word about this game so that we can gain support and the interest of developers that would help us diverge away from MineCraft but my attempts to do so are being squashed by the ignorant 'fan-boy' element of MineCraft.

I speak for myself and probably a good few other that we have no malice toward MineCraft, nor do we wish it bad. what we do want is a chance to enjoy our own game in peace and without 'joke' death threats made toward exe.

If the OP can provide these 'videos' claiming that Manic Digger was 1st, I'd happily concede that point, but needless to say the content of the OP's post is simply negative feedback posted purely to incite the local community. In my book that is the definition of Troll.
